Andi Rierden Communications & Graphic Design provides writing, editing and graphic design services to organizations and businesses on a consultant or contract basis. Owner and creative director, Andi Rierden, has worked in the field of media relations for more than two decades. She holds Master of Arts' degrees in Communication and Educational Technology and has worked as a journalist, editor and publications specialist since 1990. Andi has received numerous awards for her writings and publications including the 2007 Nova Scotia Bay of Fundy Environmental Awareness Award for her role as the editor and manager of The Gulf of Maine Times. She has taught writing, editing and design at the university level, conducted many workshops on these topics and mentored hundreds of students and adults.
As a designer, Andi works with industry-standard word-processing and graphic lay-out and design applications. She is adept at Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver. She is able to accept files from both Mac and PC platforms.
